Luxury surveys offer inaccurate picture of the luxury market

If you are trying to understand the distribution of wealth globally in order to forecast sales on luxury goods, make sure you understand that the buyers of big ticket luxury items such as real estate, yachts, cars, or private jets are not necessarily reflected in the surveys conducted by research agencies. This is because that segment of the global population, the 1% as we have come to know them, don't spend time answering questionnaires.
